IT’S TIME TO FILL OUT YOUR APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID.  YOU MAY ACCESS THE FAFSA ELECTRONICALLY AT PHEAA.ORG/FAFSA OR fafsa.gov.  Filing your FAFSA electronically speeds up turnaround time and helps eliminate errors.  If you do not have Internet access, you can get a paper copy of the FAFSA by calling the U.S. Department of Education toll free at 1.800.4.FED.AID.

Arts & Collaboration

2010 Summer Creative & Performing Arts Academy July 6-17, 2010.  For the 21st year, the summer creative & performing arts academy will bring together high school students for an intensive program of study in the areas of creative writing, dance, jazz, theatre and visual arts.  Students spend 12 days on the Slippery Rock University Campus studying with master artists, writers, musicians and teachers as well as with talented peers.  Students attend four classes a day within their discipline and participate in cross- disciplinary activities with other academy students.  Students attending the Summer Academy will have a unique opportunity to attend evening seminars with visiting artist, go on a field trip to Washington, D.C. and attend the alumni picnic.  Download the application http://www.miu4.k12.pa.us/textiles/arts/2010%20summer%20academy.pdf

IUP 2010 Summer Honors Program : July 11-July 24th

Swarthmore College: Discover Swarthmore is scheduled for October, 2nd- October 4th.  This is an open house for any female students who are interested in the college.  Please see www.swarthmore.edu for more information about the open house.  

DuquesneFest:  Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Duquesne University.  This will be a fun informative day for high school juniors can speak with representatives from admissions, financial aid, as well as from other academic, administrative and student life departments.  During the day, there will be many opportunities to learn about college admissions procedures, classes, majors and career opportunities.  Students can register online www.duq.edu/admissions or by phone at 412-396-6222.
